Plastic repair work done to your eyewear

Repairing Plastic sunglasses and eyeglasses is the most common repair our specialists are trained to do. There are generally two places that most glasses break in. They break right in the middle of the Nose Bridgee or the Temple (arm) breaks off the metallic hinge. Need not worry, in all cases of plastic repair work , the repair is done flawlessly. The process to repair the plastic frame has been engineered so that the repair result is permanent. We have a special plastic welding process that molds both ends together to form a solid bond. A metal pin is then inserted in the center of the inside plastic before the weld process begins for added reinforcement. Once the weld is complete, the item is buffed and polished and painted if needed. Need not worry about the repair line. Its almost invisible. Not everyone is as familiar with the descriptions of the parts of eyeglasses. You may also look at the Diagram of Glasses Parts and Descriptions to better familiarize yourself on what is exactly broken on your frame.

Some examples of plastic repair work done to eyewear.

This pair of Ray Ban Sunglasses came cracked right down the middle. The lab inserted a metallic pin in between the disconnected units and performed a standard weld to merge the break line. The sunglasses were repaired and the customer was able to continue to wear them.
